I have an idea for you.. get a notebook and go to your local mall and do surveys. Tell ppl that you are working on a “project” and ask if they would be willing to answer a few questions…

1st Question: “What do you think happens to people after they die?”
2nd Question: (if they say Heaven or Hell)… “What separates whether they go to Heaven or Hell?” (if they say something like reincarnation)… “How do you know this to be true?”

You can often find out whether they are a true believer or not using these questions. Then thank them for their time and ask if they would like to hear what you have to say about the matter. They’ll often be interested!

This approach has worked wonderfully for me, it’s nonthreatening and is a great way to share the Gospel!

these posts are awesome. So a story from last week… I am doing masonry right now and I was pretty determined that I wasn’t going to work around construction workers for days and never tell them about the one Thing that could save them. So I walked up to two of them and was like.. “I don’t know if you guys believe in God or not but Jesus Christ means everything to me and I wrote something out about it that I give to people…” and I gave them each a tract that I had written. Then I said “I don’t have all the answeres but I think I know the Guy who does–Jesus.” They didn’t really say much but they thanked me and I walked away almost shaking cus that was one of the hardest things I had ever done! no wonder we are called soldiers of Jesus Christ, its just plain hard! keep it up bro!

Re. Medearis’s book, some of the three-star reviews on Amazon are worth reading–legitimately addressing some of the weaknesses in the book, while recognizing some of the core value it offers.
